During the week I was inolved in interviewing Ralph Blewitt to quiz him about what he knew of The AWU Scandal. He didn't falter in his statements to me, that is he didn't contradict himself, he didn't provide multiple versions he just spoke plainly. What he said was not suggestive of artefact after the event - that is it didn't sound made up. Plain talking truth.
The great risk that I saw for prosecutors in relying on Mr Blewitt's statements was that the having made his admissions, the other crooks would get together and say "it's just Ralph. I/we did nothing."
That would be great! If you were there and knew it was "just Ralph", and you were a union boss or a union lawyer, why didn't you report him!
No, the truth has a way of being discoverable."
